Your BVI business plan is done. Your products and services are ready for the world to see.
Now the question is this: how do you market your new company?
Successfully marketing a new company is one of the most difficult parts about starting a company. However, there are a few things you can do to kick-start your marketing plan.
1. Get People’s E-mail Addresses
One reason why e-mail marketing works for so many companies is because it’s a good way to remind people you exist. A well-meaning person could forget about your company but be reminded of after receiving an e-mail about one of your new promotions or sales.
One way you can acquire e-mail addresses is by inviting industry members to a pre-launch event. There, you can ask people to sign-in with their e-mail addresses and indicate if they’d like to be a part of your mailing list.
Have a sign-in sheet by the entrance where people can list their contact information. Include a slot where they can mark whether or not they’re interested in joining your e-mail list.
2. Use Social Media to Answer Industry Questions
It’s always a good idea to show people you’re an expert rather than telling them you are. You can do this by monitoring questions people have about the industry by setting up Google Alerts and saving Twitter searches related to your industry. When you’re doing this, be sure you’re doing so on your company’s official social media accounts.
3. Prepare a Media Kit
Media kits are a useful of succinctly showing people what your company is about. You can include your mission statement, the problem your company is solving and how, and statistics from credible sources that support your claims. You can even include short biographical blurbs of your team members.
