3d Printing BVI design, Toys
Have you ever wondered how toy makers get their job? It is not as simple as you would think. 3d printing design in the BVI has yet to appear but once it does, expect a lot of people to immediately jump on board. Partially they want to be innovative but mostly because the BVI has zero manufacturing. But before you bust out the credit card and buy a $2500 3D printer, ask yourself if you have anything to print. You need a prototype, an actual sculpture to then render into 3d. This video documents the first phase of the creative process of toy making.
When the BVI embraces 3D printing, which is inevitable due to the fact that there is a relatively non-existent manufacturing industry here, the BVI may one day have toys designed, sculpted and printed all locally. Take that Wal-Mart!
